ABOUT - ADRIAN WARD

Adrian first started by studying an Associate Diploma of Arts (Jewellery Design) from Sydney University of Technology in 1993. He then completed an apprenticeship as a silversmith in 1998, and worked as a commercial silversmith for companies in Australia, the United Kingdom and Finland.

In 2018 Adrian went to The Royal College of Art in London to study for an MA in Jewellery & Metal and Graduated in 2020. He went to the RCA to develop conceptual thinking and to learn new ways of thinking about silversmithing, using research to develop concepts and designs to consider how to place work in a context outside the commercial world.

He has since been working as a commercial silversmith and CAD designer alongside an expanding personal experimental and conceptual artistic silversmithing practice.
